I came across this message that Bree has posted and I was blessed to know that she is my sister-in-the-Lord. And wanted to say so, Here is the patience of the saints, here are they that KEEP the commandments of God and have the faith of Jesus. The vast majority of professed Christians today have been lulled into a false security that they can sin their way to heaven. We have been told that the vast majority of those professing present truth will be lost because they refused to be santified by the truth that they professed to believe, and naturally many do not like to hear this. Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect. The good news of the gospel is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Will to serve Him, and, in acting upon His word, you will receive strength. He will SET FREE the captive that is held by weakness and misfortune and the chains of sin. The voice of the Lord is powerful! [Psalms 29:4] It is just as much sin to violate the laws of our being as to break one of the Ten Commandments, for we cannot do either without breaking God's law. God's law is written by His own finger upon every nerve, every muscle, every faculty which has been entrusted to man. God in His wisdom has established Natural Laws for the proper control of our dress, our appetites, and our passions, and He requires of us obedience in every particular! The angel said get ready, get ready, get ready. The final events will come as an overwhelming surprise. Go to your closet, wrestle with the Lord. The perfect sacrifice is everything that you possess AND yourself. Give your will to the Lord, He will take it and mold and fashion you. In my extremity of agonizing I said, "Lord take my will for I cannot even even give it to You." When the storm hit me with blinding force, I laid the letter out before the Lord and on my knees said, "Lord, I do not even know what to pray for." I have been praying that my company will be blessed as the profits support a Health Ministry, and I greatly desired to travel to Australia, which to my mind seemed in two different directions. But now I was face to face with an enemy who wanted my breath, and would stop at nothing at have it. So I said, "Lord, I only ask that you will never leave me or forsake me, that in every decision I have to make in the days to come that You will lead and instruct me that I will do what is pleasing in your sight." 4 1/2 years later I can tell you that God has never failed. He has provided EVERYTHING that I need, just when I need it, and sometimes not a moment before I need it. Remember what looks like great disaster is only door to higher benefits. Those that wait upon the Lord will never be ashamed. There is conditions for answered prayers - Isaiah 59:1,2; *Joshua 1:5-9

The counsel that Islandish offered is not only excellent but it's on the money!
The word of God in Psalms 1:1 tells us to not seek ungodly counsel. You can also seek ungodly counsel in the church. Pray and ask God himself to lead you. You don't need people's opinions. You need to know what GOD HIMSELF said. The void that you're seeking to fill can only come from a personal, intimate relationship with God.
Also...YOU must understand that you're NOT whothe enemy said you are. God said that if you be in Christ you are a new creature (1 cor. 5:17). You have to believe that you are royal, you are wonderfully and fearfully made. You are a jewel in the eyes of God. You have to decide if you're going to believe the word of God...or the enemy. Choose ye this day, sister. Also...we pray for God to "take" feelings, desires etc away. However, God wants us to GIVE UP those sinful ways. GIVE UP drugs, alcohol, fornication, adultery, gossip etc. It doesn't matter what the area of sin is we MUST GIVE IT UP...not ask God to take it away. The decision must be ours, and ours alone if we want to change...God gives us the strength to walk out our decision. Also...understand where your area of temptation is. If you know hanging with certain people will cause you to fall..don't hang with them. It's not about hurting people's feelings. It's about living righteous before God. When they call, ask God for strength to say no. Don't answer the phone. don't open the door. Choose godly associates instead. If watching a certain movie or listening to certain types of music puts your mind a certain way DON'T WATCH OR LISTEN TO THAT MUSIC. We must make conscientious choices..and ask God to help us. Is it easy? If it was easy there wouldn't be a need for repentance. It's not easy...but it is possibly to have a godly and holy walk. I've sinned and grew tired of coming to God about the same matter over and over. When my flesh talk(s, ed) I talked back wiht the word of God. "I can do all things thru Christ"...God you said you'd never leave me nor forsake me...father you said to acknowledge you in all my ways and you'll direct my paths i'm acknowledging the fact that my flesh is burning and i want to fornicate please help me...help me to not give into the desires of my flesh etc. I had to pray OUT LOUD. I had to let the enemy know that i was no longer his fool, and i mean to walk this out victoriously. The feeling that comes from knowing that we pleased God and not the enemy is incredible!!! If you fall sweety, don't stay down and wallow...thank God for his grace, repent and continue to walk. There's no condemnation in God. He doesn't condemn you. People and the enemy do. But if you're meditating, marinating, eating AND BELIEVING what you read in the bible what would it matter? God said if he be for you who could be against you? Wouldn't you rather have Him on your side?
You are a blessing and while the walk isn't easy, it is fulfilling. And as you grow in God, you'll learn that it's a beautiful thing to trust and depend upon Him instead of man. God bless you and take care,
Bree

It is such a great feeling to know that God is a forgiving God. He is a God who loves us in spite of who we are and what we've done. I will keep you in my prayers, but I would also offer some tips as a single person:
1. (ARM yourself)
Acknowledge your sin,
Repent and
Move on in Christ
2. Enter into another covenant with God, write it down and place it in a frame where you can see it. Read it daily.
3. Recognize that your body is a temple. Think of yourself as pure, clean and set aside for holy use. God has big plans for your life. Also remember that the world is no longer safe. Sexually transmitted diseases are rampant and nondiscriminatory.
4. Do not seek to develop a relationship with anyone who is not practicing Christianity. You want to date men who believe what you believe and would help you in your Christian walk.
5. When you go out on dates, Do Not allow the man to come into your house or do not go into his. The Devil already planned what he wants to happen. You should also avoid any compromising situations, such as getting drunk or going to private, secluded spots with him.
6. Read the bible.
7. Pray without ceasing. Ask God for wisdom and strength to overcome the temptations and to help you to maintain your covenant with Him.
Remember that the Devil is after your salvation and would do anything to prevent us from making it to the kingdom. May God bless you and provide you with a husband soon.

Hi hon
please dont beat yourself up anymore!!! Have you heard of sex anonymous? Works like a.a., just addresses your addiction instead of alcohol. (which you might want to look at also) the first step is to admit you have a problem. The second step is to believe that a power greater than yourself can help you. And what greater power than the almighty Jesus Christ? The mightiest power of them all!! Jesus loves you and wants you to live a decent life. IM reading collosions right now. and so far i have gotten alot out of it, like he is the highest power and he wants you to life a sexual moral lifestyle. PRAY...pray without ceasing.. he hears your heart and your mind..when you are ready to give up this addicition(and thats what this is) he will take it from you. pray to be willing to be willing. babysteps...prayer changes things, and it can for you too.

GOD forgives sin 7 time 77. Just ask him to forgive you and to renew your hope in. He is always near and ready to listen. First, stop drinking any achohal and begin a new life. Sometimes you have to step over to new friends because the old will drag you back down. do not forget the old friends but begin with other christians. Read your Bible daily and God will reach down to ou in all of your needs.
