Yes, I am the same way there are two guys in my church whom I like a lot, both are like brothers to me, this is how they want it. Neither want a girl friend. My problem is I love them both. Maybe more than as a friend should.
God is my Forever Friend, in Him I can show all my love. No rejection.

Thank you, for your reply. Yes, my grandmother on my mother's side was a praying woman, but I never got to know her very well, my mother certainly was as each morning and evening was spent in time with God word and prayer.
I wish that Mom could have lived to be as old as grandma, but God knows best.
My adopted Mom is going to be 103 in Feb. She is awesome, they tell me that her mind is still clear as a bell. Her eyesite and hearing isn't, but she still helps around the house. Oh, to be that well and she loves God's word and listens to tapes and then transcribes them onto paper. Helps keep her arthritic hands going and takes the stiffness out of them. She isn't able to take meds either, like me.

Yes Grandma Betty,
You summed it up well. It sounds like Sacred Sorrow is a book to get as well. Thank you for your pearls of Wisdom. I trust God and know He has me in the palm of His hand.
Mostly I am thankful for the fervent effectual prayers of the righteous. My great grand mother and mother are praying women. My great grandmother passed, but her prayers have covered a many generations in my family.

I to am in the same predictment as you are. This last time I met a man on this site, I was willing to deal with him just because I did not want to reject him. God let me see myself that I am wtill in need of Him and always will be. I hate rejection, cannot deal with it. But my Savior allowed me to regonize this in me and to deal with it, which I am doing. I try and say this to myself often. Now , at the moment I do not want a relationship with any man. Not yet. I am learning and listening from my Savior.

I am reading that book now, I love it, I want to really get into a study and start one in my apartment with the lady whose grandson owns the book.
She lent me the book and said that she wanted to read it when I got done with it, but I see that it is to be a bible study.
My oldest stepdaughter brought me up a book yesterday that our conference prayer/warriors leader gave to her. I started to read it too, and I think that the two are going to be read together. It is called "A Sacred Sorrow" by Michael Card. It is like Mrs. Whites books, you read it over and over again. A KEEPER.
I like what you said, about somedays you are able and a NBL and other times you need to be reassurred and held and lead. I think that I am that way in many ways, yet I know that right now that the Lord is moving mightily in my life, and I at times feel soooo awed that I am unable to comprehend it all.
He is so Awesome. It that how you feel?
I may be white headed, but I ain't dead yet...
